Erik is a Therapist providing therapeutic services for individuals, couples and families
Bachelor of Science (Cum Laude) in Psychology from Regents College, December of 2000
Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from National University, October of 2002
He was licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC 43440) in July of 2006
He retired from the Navy as a Chief Hospital Corpsman, SEAL, his last duty station was as an instructor at Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training. The 20 years of dedicated service made him intimately familiar with the unique and sometimes difficult stressors that active duty service members and their dependents cope with. As a result he makes an effort to remain available to military and dependents.

Erik is affiliated with most Insurance Companies. He has a sliding scale for cash paying clients from $70.00 -$120.00 per session.

- A level 12 facility for adjudicated male adolescents (half way house for juvenile detention) working mainly with issues of abuse (physical, mental, sexual), anger management and substance abuse in group and individual settings.
- A level 14 lock-down facility for adolescents at risk to self or others where he conducted assessments and provided crisis intervention as required, addressed issues including child abuse, Asperger’s Syndrome plus a variety of other situational upsets and long term pathologies in individual, group and family sessions. He also helped start an On-Campus Narcotics Anonymous (NA) drug relapse prevention program.
- Provided wrap-around services to students and families grades K-8 in a North County School District, assessed and evaluated clients and families, provided counseling services as listed above, provided crisis intervention as required and assisted in creating Individual Education Plans (IEP).
He volunteers with the following organizations:
- Wounded Warriors program from Balboa Naval Hospital helping returning vets learn to surf and participate in other aquatic activities.
- Ski Patrol at Bear Mountain
- At his church in the book store.
